EVER AFTER HIGH Kitty Cheshire Review

I can't get over how beautiful this doll is. She is everything I could have hoped for in a Ceshire humanization. Upon my first glance at her box I was already in love:

Awesome, isn't she?

The back of her box tells us a bit about her:

You can see more on her box here

As all the EAH dolls she cames with a stand, a brush, and her diary (where she tells us about Lizzie Hearts kind of dating with Daring Prince who is kind of dating another girl. Kitty warns her bestie off of him).

You can see a more in-depth review of this doll in my YouTube Channel here, and I'm sharing some pics of her so you can see how beautiful she really is (she really is one of my fav dolls <3)

And here she is in relation to Maddie (Kitty seems to be a tad shorter):

And in relation with the other EAH inhabitants at my home:

I really love that all the girls have different heights and body sizes. It makes all of them more unique and endearing to me <3

that's all for now, thank you for reading! :)

Review of: LAST OF US AMERICAN DREAMS

BOOK STATS:
Paperback, 104 pages
Published October 30th 2013 by Dark Horse Books (first published July 31st 2013)
ISBN13: 9781616552121
Edition language: English
Collects the Last of Us: American Dreams, issues 1-4

Nineteen years ago, a parasitic fungal outbreak killed the majority of the world's population. In one of the few remaining quarantine zones, thirteen-year-old Ellie begins her new life as a ward of a military boarding school, where a friendship with fellow student Riley leads to her first trip into the outside world. Beyond the walls of the regimented civil order they know, Ellie and Riley are soon confronted with the violent way of life of the insurgent group the Fireflies--and with the monstrous victims of infection!

So. First of all, I love The Last of Us. Its atmosphere, its human drama, the infected, the landscapes, music, art, EVERYTHING. But this comic? This comic was a waste of time. I had seen some of its art and was encouraged by the good reviews it had. It was supposed to throw some light into Ellie's past, her time before meeting Joel, even before the little DLC that we got after the game, where we have this adventure with Riley. but this comic offers NOTHING. You really don't need to read it to understand anything because it gives up nothing.

The comic was published on 2013, and the DLC Left Behind is from Feb, 14th, 2014. So it looks like the comic paved out the way for the DLC set up, maybe they had it already planned out, but the downside is that if you don't read the comic you miss out on nothing, and reading it provides nothing, so...

In the comic book we find the girls meeting at the military school, doing their first escapade, Ellie meeting the man from the mall that "appears" on the DLC, and then meeting some Fireflies. We can see Riley trying to go with the Fireflies, which we already knew from the game; and the fact that the leader of the Fireflies knew of Ellie's mother, which we also knew from the game.

The story telleing is nothing from the other world, in fact it is very simple and kind of poor, at least compared with the one in the game. It's just the girls running around, finding themselves in sme iconic locations from the games, and then getting in some action with the fireflies. Nothing more. All perfectly skippable and not relevant. For me, reading this comic book has provided me with very little to non intel. Also, not a good comic book for me. Maybe I had high expectations as it was a Last of Us thing... but it really has failed short of my expectations.

Opi - French mani with cement the deal and in true steffani fashion

Hi there!

I made this mani, which is no big wonder, but wanted to share it with you. I used various nail polishes to create this look:

- Opi Glitter Off as a base, as I am using glitter onto my nails
- Opi Cement the Deal from the Fifty Shades of Gray
- Opi In True Steffani Fashion from the Gwen Steffani Collection
- and NYC Top coat

As you can see it in the pics it is a very easy mani: like a French mani but with light grey and glitter.

If you want to see a review of the products used in this mani, head here please ;)

Thank you for looking! ;)

Opi Gaining mole-mentum

This glitter top is from the collection Muppets Most Wanted.
The glitter per se is shredded gold glitter with some touches of  light pink in a clear base. I just love that for me this is a new concept of glitter, have ever seen one like this, it looks like gold particules scattered over my nails, and I am loving it!
The formula was good, even if for my taste the glitter pay off was a bit weak, so I ended up doing three coats for the photos below.  I found it also relieving and good that I didn't have any issues with the shards poking up (only a couple of them where like this and where easy to remove).

As I've said, I used 3 coats over Chic from Ears to Tail for the photos below.

I also have to note that I used Opi Glitter Off and that removing the glitter was a breeze!! :)

Opi Sorry I am Fizzy Today

Hi there!

I just got on my  nails a pink that I love!! Turns out I am a sucker for pink nail polish, and this one is amazing because it is kind of peachy, which sets it apart from regular pink nail polishes.

Formula wise is a two coater, very opaque and nice and easy application. It has avery beautiful shine to it.

Instead of base coat I decided to apply the Glitter off base coat to see how it will work out when peeling off this kind of nail polish. I will keep you updated on that one! ;)

About the peeling off process: it was fairly easy to peel off the polish from my nails, and did not manage them in any way. In some nails it was a bit harder to get it off on the top of the nail, but nothing major.
The only downside is that after only some hours after having applied the mani and having been on the computer a couple of hours some of my nails presented some chipping.

Opi Embrace the Gray Swatch

Here is one of the latest Opi colors, from the collection Fifty Shades of Grey inspired by the bestseller (of which I'll better not talk... not much of a fan here). I love how vibrant and shiny this color is. I guess I am still not used at Opi's vibrance and it always catches me off tilt.

Formula wise it is amazing, it builds consistency with two coats, but I did three because I was feeling like it lol

Review: Ensnared by A.G. Howard

 BOOK STATS:
  • Tapa dura: 416 páginas
  • Editor: Harry N Abrams Inc (6 de enero de 2015)
  • Colección: Splintered Series
  • Idioma: Inglés
  • ISBN-10: 1419712292
  • ISBN-13: 978-1419712296

After surviving a disastrous battle at prom, Alyssa has embraced her madness and gained perspective. She's determined to rescue her two worlds and the people and netherlings she loves. Even if it means challenging Queen Red to a final battle of wills and wiles ...and even if the only way to Wonderland, now that the rabbit hole is closed, is through the looking-glass world--a parallel dimension filled with mutated and violent netherling outcasts. In the final installment of the wildly popular Splintered trilogy, Alyssa and her dad journey into the heart of magic and mayhem in search of her mom and to set right all that's gone wrong. Together with Jeb and Morpheus, they must salvage Wonderland from the decay and destruction that has ensnared it. But if they succeed and come out alive, can everyone truly have their happily ever after?

I  made a mini review on my Goodreads profile, stating more or less this:

I couldn't get into this book. I just couldn't. It is crazy, not like the others, where craziness was useful to the story, but bat-shit crazy with no purpose. I got boooooored with the love triangle. It appears almost every three pages and it feels like it drags into forever. The solution to this one is just... not going there as not to make spoilers, but I found it to be easy and non compromising.
I tried to get into the book time and time again only to found out I just couldn't. It was a bizarre book with no other purpose in its bizarre-ness (is that even a word?), and with a week love triangle with an easy solution which was a no brainer: [SPOILER] Let's keep both, momma! [SPOILER OVER]
I just loved the first one, wasn't sure about the second one but I still enjoyed it, but this one... destroyed the trilogy for me.
Sorry, I don't want to offend anyone. Maybe it wasn't the moment to read this one or maybe this one is just bat-shit crazy... :s

If you want to see a longer one were I talk about the three books on the series, please head over to my youtube video about it

Thank you!!! ^.^

Opi Comet in the Sky Swatch

You can get this glitter topper as a part of the trio Rollin' in Cashmere from the Holiday 2014 Gwen Stefani Collection or as an individual. After having tried Snow Globetrotter (here and here you can see some swatches of it) I thought no glitter would surprise me as much as that one, but man I was wrong.

Comet In The Sky is a glitter topper with black and iridescent glitter in a mix of different sizes.  It was easy to apply, and even the big pieces were easy to catch and to apply. Also I found it easier to apply by "fishing around" with the brush in the nail polish and then putting a glob of it on my nail and from there distributing it.

The formula was good, it wasn't thick and the glitter payoff was good. I used 2 coats over Embrace the Gray for the photos below.

Opi Glitter Off - how to apply

This is something I have been waiting to try for some time now. I usually remove my nail polish y peeling it off when I can, but sometimes it damages myn ail as it takes little strips of it. Depending on the type of nail polish I use acetone free remover. But as I've said, I fnd the ability to strip it off and be done with it amazing. If it could be done easily and fast it would be perfect. That is why I decided to try this.

So far I just applied it, with a liquid sand over it (I know it is not glitter, but I wanted to see if it can remove this kind of polishes too) and have yet to remove it. So far is holding okay.

The tips for applying is to use a thin coat and let it dry competly before applying the nail polish.

It doesn't have the Pro Wide Opi Brush, but I found this one is perfect for applying the "polish", which looks like glue, it kind of smells like it too.

That is how it looks just after applying it. Then it dries to a somewaht mate base.

I tried using this base with a liquid sand, but the result is that it didn't work quite as well as expected. I was able to strip some bits of nail polish, but not all, and I had to go get my nail polish remover.

I also tried using this peel-off base over a nail base, but it kinda broke on me. See pics:

I don't know if this happened because I used a base of because there is some problem with my peel-off product.

I will keep it updated with more entries as I learn more of this easy removal base.

Ever After High: Ginger Breadhouse™ (Daughter of the Candy Witch)

A new dollie is going to be around the Rebels soon!!! Ginger Breadhouse, the Daughter of the Candy Witch! She prefers preparing dessert rather than eating people for dessert.

I like of her that she is a tan doll (much like Cedar) instead of the usual more white skinned ones, but I think she is missing something...

Here are some pics of her for you to judge:
